ABOUT
Katherine Shonk is the author of two critically praised books of fiction: Happy Now?, a novel set in Chicago, and The Red Passport, a short story collection set in Russia. Her writing has appeared in Best American Short Stories, McSweeney’s, Tin House, the Georgia Review, and elsewhere. She has received awards from the Illinois Arts Council, and The Red Passport was a Chicago Tribune Best Book of the Year. Katherine lives in her hometown of Evanston, Illinois, with her husband, daughter, dog, and two cats. She works as an editor and enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, gardening, and going on writing retreats at Write On Door County and Spring Bird.
